A Glimpse of Thetan Rivals Gameplay

A Glimpse of Thetan Rivals Gameplay

Thetan Rivals is in the open beta stage and currently having five game modes that early players can try out. In the later stage, as the project will become accessible to the global public, more challenges shall become unlocked for all players to experience.

A sneak peek of Thetan Rivals' gameplay with all the challenges can be viewed below.

List of challenges in the Open Beta

    Green Light Red Light

This challenge is inspired by an infamous game in the popular Squid Game drama series.

The rule is exactly the same with Poto the Scowling Bear playing the role of the executioner: When the bear is having his back against all players, the latters have to move quickly towards the finishing line. Once the bear turns around and any player is spotted moving, he/she is eliminated. The ultimate goal is to reach the finishing line.

    Hot Potato

This challenge will surely tap into the survival instinct of all players. A number of bombs will be assigned to random players in the beginning, and the goal of each of those players is to pass the bomb onto another by touching them before it goes off. A bomb going off will take a player with it, and that player will drop lightnings on the ground, which can be picked up by other players for a speed boosting.

Hot Potato might be one of the most thrilling and exciting games in Thetan Rivals as it involves lots of chasing, overcoming obstacles, making good use of objects on the map, and accurate timing.

    Laser Dance

Remember those laser fields for security in spy movies? Their concept serves as the mechanics for one of the challenges in Thetan Rivals, and the rule is as straightforward as it gets: Evade the laser until half the number of players is eliminated.

    Obstacle Racing

This challenge requires players to put extra focus on the movement of their Thenions and the obstacles around them. There is only one goal: To make it to the finishing line. That might sound simple, but the obstacles on the map will make this game seems like the most challenging yet.

    Tiles Fall

As one can easily tell by the name of this challenge, it involves controlling the Thenions to follow the path created by random tiles on the map to be among the first to reach the finishing line. The tiles will also make random movements that cause the players to fall (and ultimately fail the game), so concentration is a valuble asset in this challenge.
